[00:00:00] Speaker A: WVUA FM, Tuscaloosa yeah, my top performer for this week, or the first one I should say, is mister Chris Godwin. He is currently wide receiver one in fantasy football through the first six weeks. This week in his shootout performance or the shootout game, I should say between the Bucks and Saints, he dropped 35 and a half in PPR leagues with eleven receptions, 125 yards and found pay dirt twice in that game in New Orleans. It got pretty ugly. Well, I shouldn't say that the Saints stuck around for a little bit with Spencer Rattler back at QB one for the Saints now, but the Bucs then took over pretty handily and Chris Godwin was the main reason for that.
[00:00:50] Speaker B: Yeah, man, the Bucs look good. And speaking of the Bucks, my first top performer is Baker Mayfield. He's quarterback two at the moment. He's averaging 22 and a half fantasy points per game. He scored 25.9 on Sunday against the Saints, leading his team to 50 points. He had three picks and still scored 25 points thanks to his 325 yards and four touchdowns. Obviously, Chris Godwin was the main beneficiary, really the only one other than the two running backs. But yeah, Baker Mayfield playing at an incredible level right now. Incredible pace, and if you've got him, it was definitely a good pickup. So Baker Mayfield, QB two for sure.
[00:01:32] Speaker A: Baker Mayfield, I feel like, wasn't drafted by most people this year, but I mean, I have QB one and QB two on one of my teams this year, so it kind of hurts that Baker Mayfield has to be on my bench.
Yeah, I guess I'll jump into my second one this week. This past week was a little interesting going through getting ready for some for our show today, doing our prep or my prep, I guess I should say.
The top performers were, I don't want to say weak, but other than Chris Godwin with the 35 and a half, everybody was in that range between like.
[00:02:06] Speaker B: 28 to 25 and it was mostly the guys that I expect to score 28 to 25. It wasn't a lot of.
[00:02:12] Speaker A: There was a lot of them, though. So the second guy that I had a little bit on the higher of that range was Caleb Williams, the first overall pick for the Chicago Bears.
I didn't really watch much of that Bears game, but he was clearly a bright spot in their victory on Sunday.
226 yards and four touchdowns for that quarterback. I believe they were in London this week.
[00:02:38] Speaker B: They were 09:30 a.m. it was. It was a nine. Bright and early in the morning on the east coast. Absolute Molly whopping of the Jaguars. It was horrible.
[00:02:47] Speaker A: He did throw that one interception. So I guess if you take that away, he could have had a 30 bomb for if you have Caleb Williams in your league. But still solid performance by the rookie QB that a lot of people were. I feel like this was. A lot of people were waiting for this performance. And the young buck finally put it on for the Bears and got a pretty solid, strong win for them.
[00:03:09] Speaker B: Bears are four and two. Easy schedule coming up. They could be heading into week or packers week, which is in three weeks. Their next three weeks are easy. They could head into packers week seven and two.
[00:03:20] Speaker A: That's Bears fans are shaking right now.
[00:03:24] Speaker B: Seven. Biggest game in like the last ten years.
[00:03:28] Speaker A: I really hope that game is in Chicago.
[00:03:31] Speaker B: Here, let me. You've got Caleb Williams pulled up. Give it a check.
[00:03:34] Speaker A: Let's, let me.
[00:03:35] Speaker B: Let me look real quick and pull them up because I also, I want to see who those games are against. I got it right here.
So their next three games they get. It's the buy this week, obviously, it's Washington. It's not an easy one, but if they can get past Washington, that's a huge game. Caleb Williams versus Jaden Daniels. And then it's Arizona who they should crush. And then it's New England who they should crush. So they'd be seven and two heading into a home game in week eleven against the Pac.
[00:04:05] Speaker A: Yes, it is. It's an ah. It's a 12:00 kickoff central time. That is maybe. Let's see, the Sunday night game is Colts jets.
[00:04:13] Speaker B: So maybe flex.
[00:04:15] Speaker A: Maybe we'll flex it. Maybe they will flex it. I mean, of course it's in New York. So they're gonna want Aaron Rodgers and Devontae Adams on prime time.
[00:04:22] Speaker B: They're on prime time again this week.
[00:04:24] Speaker A: But I think, I mean, I feel like if the Bears are seven two and the packers keep winning, if they're seven and two, they could be eight and one.
[00:04:32] Speaker B: I think. I think they only have one loss.
[00:04:34] Speaker A: No, they're four and two right now.
Cause they dropped that game to Tennessee.
[00:04:38] Speaker B: That's right.
[00:04:39] Speaker A: The Malik Willis comeback game.
But I mean, that's gotta be on Sunday Night Football.
[00:04:45] Speaker B: Yeah, definitely. Over Aaron Rodgers and the jets, who also make, as I mentioned, make prime time for the second week in a row this week on Sunday night. I don't, I'm not 100% sure who they play, but it's not gonna be. They play the Pittsburgh Steelers horrible football game. Probably not gonna tune in if it wasn't for the fact that I owned Bruce hall and so, however, I think.
[00:05:06] Speaker A: The Steelers are on track. It's Russell Wilson, and they were talking this morning that they should trade for DeAndre Hopkins. And I'm like, I sure go for it.
[00:05:18] Speaker B: The problem with d hop is he doesn't even look all that great in Tennessee. It's not even that. He's not like, they're not looking to him that much, but it's because he's not getting open and he's. He doesn't have the same jump all about it that he used to because of his age.
[00:05:29] Speaker A: Right.
[00:05:29] Speaker B: But I'll go into another top performer. He's been a. He's been on this list pretty much every week of the season. We spent all off season and the last several years talking about, excuse me, talking about how Derek Henry in Baltimore would be a perfect fit of. We are watching it unfold in front of our eyes every single week. And he was fantastic again this week. 24 carries for 132 yards and two touchdowns. The king just keeps on rolling. He scored at least one touchdown in every single game this season. He scored more than one in three of their six games so far. And he's only scored under 20 points three times. He scored under 15 just once, and he's yet to go under ten.
Unstoppable right now on an unstoppable offense that scores a lot of points, most of which come from him. So Derek Henry is looking like he could single, he could do what he did in like 2016 or. No, it was like 2020, where he just won people leagues. It depends on that. Ravens last schedule, it was always nice in Tennessee. You'd hold on to Derrick Henry all year, and he'd get like, the Jags, Titans and the Texans when they were bad.
Derek Henry this year gets Pittsburgh, Houston and the Giants.
[00:06:44] Speaker A: I mean, hey, that's not, it's not.
[00:06:45] Speaker B: Too bad, it's not great, but it's a better offense than Tennessee.
[00:06:50] Speaker A: That is very true. I can say as a Baltimore Ravens fan, it is.
[00:06:55] Speaker B: It's cinema.
[00:06:56] Speaker A: That is exactly the word that I was about to say. It truly is cinema on every Sunday, and this week I get to watch it on Primetime Monday night against the Bucks.
[00:07:04] Speaker B: I'm so jealous, Mandy.
[00:07:06] Speaker A: But the Ravens after week one in Kansas City and then week two against Vegas, I was like, man, we're really owing to, and this is not going well, the offensive line was played. Poor Derek Henry had nowhere to run the ball.
[00:07:18] Speaker B: They weren't giving the ball.
[00:07:19] Speaker A: But then the last four weeks, I mean, we've arguably turned into the best offense in the NFL because of him and got a feeling, honestly, there's a lot of people. Unfortunately, the MVP award is like only a quarterback award. But if the season ended right now.
[00:07:36] Speaker B: I would give it to Derek.
[00:07:38] Speaker A: It's hard to not put him in that conversation.
And the best thing about I'm going on a little Ravens rant today because, you know, there's only two of us and we got time to talk and you know, there's a lot of good things to talk about the Ravens, but if it's not him as MVP, it's probably the other guy in the Ravens backfield. If I maybe a little bit of bias, but I mean, Lamar has looked phenomenal.
[00:08:01] Speaker B: A lot of QB's haven't looked very good this year. No, not at all. Not a lot of MVP options.
[00:08:05] Speaker A: This is. This is by far the best.
[00:08:07] Speaker B: Baker is probably the front runner right now.
[00:08:10] Speaker A: This is by far the best football I've ever seen Lamar Jackson play.
I put something on my instagram story today about this tweet that I saw, but I mean, his passing is through the roof. He's making beautiful reads at the line of scrimmage. And then you add King Henry to that backfield who clearly has nothing.
Age has not caught up to him. But yeah, Derek Henry, he's going to be on our top performers, I think, a lot this year and I'm happy to talk about him.
[00:08:38] Speaker B: Yeah, I anticipate more. Derek Henry, you got anyone else?
[00:08:41] Speaker A: Derek Henry was my third guy.
[00:08:43] Speaker B: All right, I got. I'll tap in just because Jamie's not here.
He's been ranting about this guy a lot recently. He begged of and begged and begged for a massive week from this week and he delivered. It's Bijon Robinson.
[00:08:56] Speaker A: He delivered.
[00:08:57] Speaker B: He finally delivered a fantasy performance worthy of the top performers list. He put up 25. I think I'm pulling it up right now. 25.595 yards, two touchdowns, three catches as well.
On that note, Tyler Algeria also had 19 fantasy points, including 18 carries, which was actually more than Bijon Robinson got. But what we care about is the points.
Hopefully more volume will come and they'll stop handing the ball off to Tyler Algiers 18 times a game. But it happened. Bijon Robinson delivered for fantasy owners for more than 16 points. It was incredible.
[00:09:37] Speaker A: It is. And I can't believe they scored that many points with the volume that Algier is getting. I also think he won angry, angry run of the week on good morning football.
[00:09:47] Speaker B: Thank you.
[00:09:47] Speaker A: I did see that. But honestly, like, I'm not a Bichon Robinson fantasy owner so I guess I can say this pretty easily without, like, regretting it. But, you know, the Falcons look good and that's all that matters. That offense needs to do whatever it does to win games. And if they're saving Bichon a little bit, you know, keeping them healthy, keep doing. If you're winning games, go chains.
[00:10:10] Speaker B: Winning football games.
[00:10:11] Speaker A: Yeah. On prime time, too.
[00:10:14] Speaker B: We like that.
[00:10:15] Speaker A: We do like that.
So I guess we'll transition. Do you want to do surprises or buzz? We change it up every single week.
[00:10:22] Speaker B: Surprises are always second on my notes.
[00:10:24] Speaker A: They are for me as well. So I guess we'll jump into our week. Six biggest surprises. I actually have a Pittsburgh stealer as my first guy.
And that's the running back one, najee harris.
He dropped 20.2 points. Huh?
[00:10:37] Speaker B: This guy, najee Harris.
[00:10:39] Speaker A: Man, I know.
[00:10:41] Speaker B: As soon as I give up, you know, real me right back in.
[00:10:45] Speaker A: That's, uh, that's, that's, that seems what, uh, fantasy players like to do to us. Um, not just Najee, but 20.2 points. He had 14 carries. Um, which is interesting. Well, I mean, hold on, let me keep going. He had 14 carries for 106 yards in a touchdown. He had 14 carries as well last week, but I think he only had around, I think it was like 40 something rushing yards.
[00:11:07] Speaker B: Um, pull this up real quick.
[00:11:09] Speaker A: I mean, they were playing that Las Vegas defense or just that Las Vegas team in general. So obviously now she's gonna have a great day. He had that also. His touchdown was like that crazy, like 60 yarder.
[00:11:20] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:11:20] Speaker A: And he like jumped from the five yard line and sprawled out. That was pretty sick. But this is Najee's 1st 14 carries.
[00:11:27] Speaker B: 42 yards last week.
[00:11:29] Speaker A: I was close, but this is najee's like first good game of the year.
Unfortunately for najee fans or Najee owners, I should say, I think what we've been seeing from Najee is gonna be the trend and not what we saw this week just because they played Vegas. He had that 60 yard touchdown or 50 60 yard touchdown. If you take that away, which you.
[00:11:52] Speaker B: Can'T trust Najee to do that.
[00:11:54] Speaker A: Exactly.
[00:11:54] Speaker B: He's not the, if you take that.
[00:11:55] Speaker A: Away home run hitter, which is most likely the not gonna happen.
[00:11:59] Speaker B: Most.
[00:12:00] Speaker A: You're gonna have to take away, what, 555 points from the, from the rush, six points from the touchdowns.
[00:12:06] Speaker B: Knock it. Which would also knock him down below four yards of carry without that carry.
[00:12:11] Speaker A: So he'd be sitting around around 1010 to twelve fantasy points without that deep touchdown. So.
But, you know, he made my list and you got to give him a.
[00:12:19] Speaker B: Little bit of love below that because he has no, he wouldn't have the touchdown right? So Jalen or Warren is healthy again. They just didn't really use him. But yeah, he's averaging about the same amount of carries. Nice to see a blow up game, but I'm not expecting expecting too much down the stretch from him. Here's a poster biggest surprise this week. Number one surprises Syracuse. I think legend John Tucker, the Syracuse I don't know if I had that correctly. He's never going to do this again. He was the legend on Twitter who used to would always post I am pleased with my performance. We hadn't gotten one since he graduated college because he's been running as the third string for Tampa Bay. But my, oh my did he look good on Sunday. 14 carries for 136 yards. He also had three catches for 56 yards and a touchdown. Through the air and on the ground, almost ten yards of carry, 34.2 points. He was the second highest fantasy scorer of the entire week, only behind his teammate Chris Godwin. But yeah, I wouldn't even put him on a waiver wireless. As much as I love Sean Tucker, I probably I wouldn't pick him up because he's probably not going to do this again. There's a chance Rashad White, when he comes back healthy, will end up back as their RB one two. Although I will say they said they'd give him more work. They said they'd like to turn it into a three headed monster, which for me, who's been sitting on Bucky Irving for six weeks, isn't nice to hear. But it's good for Sean Tucker and he certainly deserves it. He was fantastic.
[00:13:50] Speaker A: There's something about Tampa Bay and loving their RB two because when White was healthy, Bucky Irving gets the nod and Bucky Irving moves up to RB one because Rashad's white.
[00:14:01] Speaker B: And maybe forget that Rashad White is only the current starter coming into the year because he did the same thing to Lenny Fournette two years ago.
[00:14:10] Speaker A: So as soon as Bucky Irving gets a nod at the RB one, here.
[00:14:16] Speaker B: Comes Sean Tucker out of the way.
[00:14:17] Speaker A: Here comes the accused legend. I don't know what's going on.
[00:14:20] Speaker B: He was great, but they look good. Yeah.
[00:14:22] Speaker A: Hopefully Sean Tucker does not do that against Baltimore on Monday night this week.
[00:14:26] Speaker B: That would be very unfortunate, I doubt, against that Baltimore running defense. I'd like to doubt that any of those running backs will do much of anything, but yeah, surprise of the week.
[00:14:37] Speaker A: Yeah, I guess I'll hop into my second one.
It's an old head wide receiver. People call him Unc. I'm just kidding. Nobody calls a monk. Maybe they do in Seattle. Who knows? But Tyler Lockett makes my big surprise.
[00:14:50] Speaker B: That's uncle's down. He don't even get hit anymore.
[00:14:53] Speaker A: That's true. He had 16 and a half points, which you're probably asking, like, what's so surprising about that? Well, it's Tyler Locke.
It's got no more hair. He doesn't really do much for that offense anymore, but he had four catches for 65 yards, and he got that extra six points from, or seven points, I guess, from that touchdown. So interesting week for Tyler Lockett. It just caught my attention when I was going through doing some show prep, and I was like, oh, Lockett almost had 17 points. That's kind of a surprise. So I gotta give him a shout out. Cause unfortunately, we don't hear much from Tyler Lockett anymore or anything about his name.
[00:15:29] Speaker B: Yeah. And there's also not a ton of surprises this week. It was mostly the dudes you expect to do. Well. I got two wrapped into one here. We got Drake May and Demario Douglas.
[00:15:40] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, Pop Douglas.
[00:15:41] Speaker B: I know pop Douglas.
[00:15:42] Speaker A: If Alex Jason is listening this week, which he usually does, it's Pop Douglas week here at the radio station.
[00:15:49] Speaker B: Pop Douglas, probably the number one waiver at this week and due to Drake May, the new quarterback, won in New England. He looked actually really good on Sunday despite them getting throttled by Houston. But I'd expect nothing less from New England. They would have lost a whole lot worse if Drake May wasn't in the game. He had 243 yards, three touchdowns. He did carry the ball five times for 38 yards. Of the rushing upside is there, which we saw in college. He fumbled once and through two picks, so there's that. But overall, solid fantasy day. He himself had 19.52, which is better than my quarterback performed this week, probably. And then onto the bigger surprise, though, which is Demario Douglas's wide receiver. One was a PBR, like a solid PBR flex option last season, catching about eight, nine passes a game for shore yards. He was basically Wandell Robinson in disguise. But this week, six catches for 92 and a touchdown on nine targets. Looks like Drake Mays number one option. He's, I would be comfortable saying, the best receiver in New England pretty handedly.
[00:16:53] Speaker A: Oh, for sure.
[00:16:55] Speaker B: So as long as Drake May's in, I like DeMari at Pop Douglas the rest of the year, and he's.
[00:17:02] Speaker A: He's not really. Let's see what percentage he's rostered.
[00:17:05] Speaker B: He's only rostered in 32.5% of ESPN leagues right now. Six is how much he was added.
[00:17:12] Speaker A: I think it's finally the time that obviously we get to see Drake May watch football or play football and see how he progresses in his first year. But it's also where everybody gets to start to hear about pop Douglas because, I mean, pop Douglas is literally and.
[00:17:26] Speaker B: That patriot like some of the guys on that offense in general. I like Ramondre a lot more now. I like, it was who else? It was Pauldin. Oh yeah.
[00:17:36] Speaker A: It was Keishan Booty had a big touchdown.
[00:17:37] Speaker B: Yeah. Three catches, about four.
[00:17:40] Speaker A: Pop Douglas is basically, I mean, he's literally the same guy as ze flowers. He's not as good as a flowers. Obviously, I'm going to give credit to Zay, but they play the same way. He's extremely shifty. He can get open. They talked to Drake Maid, swan, Doe Robinson. I think it was today during the interview and they said you couldn't guard Pop Douglas in a phone booth. So I mean, the guy's extremely shifty. He's going to get open. And I mean, like you said, drake May clearly loves a guy. He had nine targets. I expect that to go up even more because I also expect New England to be trailing in a lot of games this year for the rest, for the remainder of the season. So Drake May is going to be back there slinging it. And like you said, pop it. Pop Douglas is easily the wide receiver.
[00:18:22] Speaker B: One wide receiver to rest the season is my opinion on Pop Douglas. As long as Drake May, is that the quarterback? I think you're looking at like 15 a week just on pure volume alone.
[00:18:31] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:18:32] Speaker B: They could lose by 100. I think pop Douglas will give you 15 a week just because he's all Drake may's got, other than maybe Jalen Polk, Javon Baker, Hunter Henry and Keishan Booty. I hate that. I know. And Kendrick Bourne. I really hate that. I know. That many Patriots scope as well.
[00:18:49] Speaker A: That's crazy. You just like kind of listed their.
[00:18:51] Speaker B: Entire, that's their whole path catching for minus. I think Jordan Aikens might be a Patriot now, but that could be wrong.
[00:19:00] Speaker A: You got any more biggest, biggest surprises?
[00:19:03] Speaker B: I'll keep it like 5 seconds. But Cole Kamet did the thing again where he scores 20.
[00:19:07] Speaker A: He did do that thing again.
[00:19:09] Speaker B: I don't need to go too far into it. You guys know the drill with Cole Comet. He's going to do that every five weeks or so this season. Don't buy into it to start them.
[00:19:19] Speaker A: When you think it's just, just take a risk, everyone.
[00:19:21] Speaker B: Bad defense. He might be worth a start. Cause he might just catch two touchdowns. He did that this week. So, yeah, 25 for Cole Comet. He falls into the caleb Williams tier of surprises.
[00:19:34] Speaker A: So I guess we'll roll into our week six biggest bus. We'll have a little bit of a somber segment here before we go to break.
[00:19:41] Speaker B: And may I just say that people, there were a lot, a lot of guys were horrible this week.
[00:19:47] Speaker A: Yeah, it was black out horrible. It was a very tame fantasy football week, unfortunately.
First guy I got on here is the Arizona running back. Really? You could just put anybody in the Arizona offense this week except for Marvin Harrison. I know he had zero points, but he went out with the concussions, so we're not going to give him any.
[00:20:04] Speaker B: And Michael actually scored like ten points, I think.
[00:20:07] Speaker A: But James Connor had 6.6. He's been, I mean, Conor has been a great running back this year. He's averaging what, 1516 points a week. They feed him the ball. And he also fumbled this weekend. I don't, I could be wrong, but growing up, watching James Connor fumble has never been like, never been a big problem for him. So, I mean, if take that fumble away, he still only has 8.6, maybe 9.6 if it's minus three for fumble in your league.
So I'm not too worried, though. It was definitely just a bad, bad week for the Arizona Cardinals. It didn't look good. They got, they got slaughtered.
[00:20:42] Speaker B: And I mean, those weeks are gonna happen. The Cardinals, it is the Arizona. They're young. It's a second year head coach. The defense is, I mean, atrocious is the word I would use for it. It's borderline on. Like, it's borderline unplayable. Like they are.
I expect the opposing team to score at least three points every time they touch the football against that Arizona defense, they just can't tackle and they don't have a corner. I actually could not name their cornerback one, two or three at the current moment, unless Patrick Peterson still plays there.
[00:21:14] Speaker A: No way.
[00:21:15] Speaker B: But I don't think he does.
[00:21:16] Speaker A: He does. I know he was on.
[00:21:17] Speaker B: If he does, I hope he's not their cornerback.
[00:21:20] Speaker A: One, there's no way.
[00:21:22] Speaker B: It's some young guy. He, they picked him, like this year. He's been put on an island against like six wide receiver ones. That poor guy.
[00:21:29] Speaker A: Hey, I mean, thrown into fire to learn, I guess. Maybe he'll be like a top ten corner next year.
[00:21:34] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:21:35] Speaker A: All right.
[00:21:35] Speaker B: I'll get into my biggest bus of the week. It's Zach Moss.
[00:21:39] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:21:40] Speaker B: Decided he was healthy enough to play this week. Came out and rushed for 2.2 yards of carry, six carries, 13 yards, one catch, two yards. He also fumbled, so he had 0.5 points. He fumbled in the third quarter. The Bengals benched him for the remainder of the game because he was a playing horrible, lost the football in a crucial moment in a close game for a team that has to win, the Bengals have to win. They're two and four now. They pulled it out this week, and I expect Zach Moss's workload to go down even more because the reason they pulled it out this week is because his backup running back Chase Brown stepped up and scampered for a 60 yard touchdown to clinch it. So rough week for sack Moss, and it's not. I don't know if it's going to get any prettier from here. Six carries, they've hit 15 and week four, nine and week five and six in week six. That's not a good trend. So PBR value has gone that as well. Only had one catch this week. So Chase Brown looking like the guy in Cincinnati and Zach Brown or Zach Moss, not the guy this week, 0.5.
[00:22:42] Speaker A: Points, definitely not the guy.
Just a side note, the starting corner in Arizona is Sean Murphy. Bunting. I did not know.
[00:22:49] Speaker B: I actually do know him and I.
[00:22:51] Speaker A: Do know him, but it's. Yeah. And the other guy is starling Thomas.
[00:22:56] Speaker B: V.
That's who I had heard of. That's the young guy.
[00:22:59] Speaker A: That's the rookie out of UAB.
[00:23:03] Speaker B: Actually Alabama guy.
[00:23:05] Speaker A: A native.
I'll go into my. What is my second. Yeah, my second biggest bus this week is the tight end Tyler craft in Green Bay. There was a lot of hype around him. Everybody was trying to pick him up, get in a starting tight end, started.
[00:23:20] Speaker B: Him in like five leagues.
[00:23:21] Speaker A: I did two and he dropped 3.5 for us. He had two catches for 13 yards. That's it.
[00:23:27] Speaker B: And they scored 34 points.
[00:23:29] Speaker A: They did 34 points, which is Tucker Kraft.
[00:23:32] Speaker B: And Josh Jacobs couldn't get into the.
[00:23:34] Speaker A: End zone because on week four against Minnesota, he had nine targets, racked up 17.3. And then two weeks ago, he had 24 points. I mean, he only had five targets, but he had two touchdowns.
[00:23:45] Speaker B: Say hello to 2024 Robert Tanya Jordan.
[00:23:51] Speaker A: Love was clearly not looking for crafts this week in the red zone.
Maybe he'll bounce back with a week against Houston. I really hope he does because Jake Ferguson has a bye week for me. And it's either Tucker Kraft. Oh, I said Tyler craft. Excuse me. Tucker Kraft or Isaiah likely. And I'm.
[00:24:06] Speaker B: I think I'm definitely not Isaiah likely.
[00:24:08] Speaker A: I'm gonna take the, although I might take the Ravens bias risk and be like, hey, Monday Night Football.
[00:24:13] Speaker B: He did bad last week, which means he's due for two touchdowns.
[00:24:16] Speaker A: That's true. You know what? I'm gonna make the switch right now.
[00:24:18] Speaker B: He did good on primetime. Week one.
[00:24:20] Speaker A: Go, Ravens.
And he had. What's the other time we had primetime? Oh, he had three points against Buffalo. Great.
[00:24:28] Speaker B: Tough.
[00:24:29] Speaker A: That's a game time decision.
[00:24:31] Speaker B: Yeah, game time decision. I don't think it's gonna be great either way, but, yeah, I'll get into potentially bum of the year. Calvin Ridley.
[00:24:39] Speaker A: Wow, wow, wow, wow. There was no hesitation on that.
[00:24:45] Speaker B: Calvin Ridley, man, what are we doing? I don't know what is going on? Week three, 1.9 points. He had one catch for nine yards. Week four, 2.5 points. He had one catch for five yards and one carry for ten yards. Week six, 0.9. He had zero catches on eight targets, one carry for nine yards.
Wow. And he had 24.7 a week. He gave us all hope.
[00:25:11] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. We raved about him.
[00:25:12] Speaker B: I don't have biggest surprise.
[00:25:14] Speaker A: I mean, yeah.
[00:25:15] Speaker B: Like, I don't like, I don't have Kelvin really in any league, but if you do, I don't even know if you have many more. I probably would have dropped him.
[00:25:21] Speaker A: It's unfortunate because I feel like if he never would have, never would have went down with that suspension, he probably.
[00:25:28] Speaker B: Would be in a much better spot right now. He might be somewhere other than Tennessee.
[00:25:32] Speaker A: He might still be in Atlanta. And on that catching from Kurto Kurko offense, it'd be electric, actually. I mean, him. Drake, London, top Pittsbichon.
[00:25:42] Speaker B: Yeah. It wasn't electric in Tennessee this week, and Calvin Ridley was quite literally the opposite. .9. I got nothing more to say.
[00:25:50] Speaker A: Just Calvin Ridley.
[00:25:51] Speaker B: Just sad.
[00:25:52] Speaker A: Calvin Ridley and electric haven't gone in the same sentence in quite a long.
[00:25:55] Speaker B: Time since like, 2019 maybe since his Bama days. I think it was his second year in the league. He was lead still. And ever since then, it's just been, yeah, there's, there's not much more to go down from here, so don't start him until he does something of note.
You probably can't drop him. He probably spent too. I have a draft pick on him. Just another. I don't think we even talked about him. And we might have mentioned him in one of the two previous weeks, but this is three consecutive games that he's played in now where he scored under three points.
[00:26:24] Speaker A: Tom Ridley's been so bad that he's just banned from the biggest bus segment from now on.
[00:26:28] Speaker B: Like, I felt like I just. Cause he had zero catches this week, I had to emphasize that he was horrible again. But he is, from here on out, banned from the biggest bus list until he gives me a reason to believe in him again.
[00:26:40] Speaker A: Well, I guess with all that being said and to brighten the mood, instead of just ripping into Calvin Ridley for another ten minutes, we're going to go to a little break. We'll be right back.
[00:26:50] Speaker B: Oh, Dak Prescott also sucked.
[00:26:53] Speaker A: Dak Prescott. The entire Cowboys off really bad.
[00:26:55] Speaker B: This all of, all of.
[00:26:57] Speaker A: I think he had about three fantasy points.
[00:26:58] Speaker B: The Dallas Cowboys were bad as a result. Dak was the worst one, though. Dak was the worst offender on Sunday for the Cowboys and the defense who gave up 47 points to a lineman, a tight end who scored over ten points once this season.
And Jamo, shout out Jamo.
[00:27:18] Speaker A: He broke Jamo.
[00:27:19] Speaker B: Jamie said it last week. He said must start James Williams. Yes. That he'd go for a big touchdown and he did.
So unfortunately, Jamie's not here to victory. Lap that with us.
[00:27:27] Speaker A: But I mean, yeah, Jamie, this is the week that Jamie needs to be here with Bijon and Jamo. And did the Niners win?
[00:27:34] Speaker B: Yeah, they like swamp the Seahawks on Thursday. Oh, that's. I got them like one in three now. Weekly picks and I'm about to be one in four because I'm about to pick the Broncos.
[00:27:43] Speaker A: Yeah, I got, yeah, I Jamie's literally five and oh, so I don't think anybody's catching Jamie.
[00:27:50] Speaker B: Hey, we got a chance. We got to get one on this week.
[00:27:52] Speaker A: We got to get one. Maybe I'll text Jamie at when we're on the break. Hopefully he picks the Saints. He's definitely not.
[00:27:58] Speaker B: Please pick Spencer Rattler.
[00:27:59] Speaker A: At this point, I think we just need to pick against Jamie and hope that.
[00:28:02] Speaker B: Hope that the other team wins. Yeah.
[00:28:05] Speaker A: Okay. Well, now after all the Cowboys and Calvin Ridley slander, we're going to go to a really quick short break and we will be back with our Thursday night Football predictions.
[00:28:16] Speaker B: See you soon.
[00:28:28] Speaker A: Wvuafm, Tuscaloosa what's up, everybody? We are back. It's just me and Lincoln.
[00:28:42] Speaker B: Still.
[00:28:42] Speaker A: Jamie has not, he didn't magically appear.
[00:28:44] Speaker B: Unfortunately.
[00:28:45] Speaker A: Unfortunately, there still might be some ghosts in here.
[00:28:47] Speaker B: I thought me talking about Bijon might have called him to.
[00:28:50] Speaker A: I'm surprised. Yeah, I'm surprised he didn't. Just like no.
[00:28:53] Speaker B: 49 discourse today. None of them were too bad. Brennan Iuke was bad again, but what can you do?
[00:29:01] Speaker A: But I guess we'll kick it off with our week seven Thursday Night Football performance.
[00:29:04] Speaker B: It's the Bever Broncos.
[00:29:07] Speaker A: Yeah, it's probably not the slander your team, but you just said it yourself, this is probably the worst Thursday night, especially with all the injuries.
[00:29:14] Speaker B: It doesn't help that our best players out. Pat Surtan. This week's episode of who's Pat Surtan guarding? It's nobody. He's got a concussion. We're cooked. The Broncos defense, we saw it last week, completely reliant on him to take away one side of the field. And without him, I don't trust them in zone, so. But then again, it's bub means and the Saints wide receiving corps. So maybe, maybe the Broncos can play. Man, after all this, it'll be an interesting game. It's gonna be one of the football games of all time.
[00:29:46] Speaker A: Excuse me, sorry. I think Spencer Rattler might just. He was slinging it first half against Tampa.
[00:29:51] Speaker B: What a quarterback matchup, man.
Heisman legends Bo Nicks and Spencer Rattler, they both opened this season as a heismanous favorite, like three times.
[00:30:02] Speaker A: But I guess I'll kick it off with the Thursday night score prediction. Yeah, well, I get. Yeah, I'll do score prediction first or.
[00:30:09] Speaker B: We normally do the performance.
[00:30:11] Speaker A: Yeah, I'll do the biggest performer.
There's not a lot of bright names in this game, not a lot of.
[00:30:17] Speaker B: Choices other than Alvin Camara. And my honest, my honest advice is if you don't, if anyone but Alvin Camara in this game, sit them, like, just don't, don't even think about it.
[00:30:27] Speaker A: Yeah, but I'm not gonna be lame and say, alvin Khmer. I was really going to. He's written down on my paper or on my notes app here. But I'm gonna have a little fun and I'm gonna say the guy that I said over break, and I'm gonna say, juwan Johnson has the biggest performance for the Saints as his.
[00:30:46] Speaker B: We has his, like, biannual.
[00:30:48] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:30:48] Speaker B: 25.2 touchdown.
[00:30:50] Speaker A: Two touchdown game.
Cause why not? I mean, Chimera might not even play. Oh, now it says he's healthy and he's not even questionable anymore.
[00:30:57] Speaker B: They've been given him a bunch of, like, rest.
[00:30:59] Speaker A: I guess he's good to go. He doesn't really need to practice, but I'll go. Juwan Johnson. Why not? I'll have a little fun. And the score prediction.
[00:31:09] Speaker B: It'S a tough one.
[00:31:10] Speaker A: It is a tough one because I'm.
[00:31:11] Speaker B: One in three points are gonna be scored.
[00:31:13] Speaker A: I really need a win. Jamie's 50. Me and Lincoln are both sitting at one and three.
[00:31:18] Speaker B: Does Rattler get it done?
[00:31:20] Speaker A: Where's this game at? Is it.
[00:31:22] Speaker B: It is in New Orleans. It's in the superdome.
[00:31:24] Speaker A: Okay, you know what? Then I'm gonna take Spencer Rattler and the Saints. I'm sorry. I was thinking like, the Broncos could.
[00:31:31] Speaker B: Lose this game pretty easily. It's a battered up. It's a two banged up.
[00:31:35] Speaker A: To be completely honest, it's kind of crazy that my decision of who wins the game comes down to one injury. But the fact that Pat sertain is not playing. I'm going to take the Saints. I think Rattler is going to go back there and sling it. I think it's going to be ugly, but I think they're going to get it done. I say they win 20 to 14.
[00:31:53] Speaker B: I don't even know if we'll be able to stop Alvin Camaro. So we couldn't stop JK Dobbins and Camaro is a little bit better than him.
[00:31:59] Speaker A: JK Dobbins, not wearing a Ravens uniform is probably a top ten running back, but wearing a Ravens uniform is IR.
[00:32:08] Speaker B: That's about all. That's pretty much the only place you spent in Baltimore, unfortunately. He's healthy now, though.
[00:32:13] Speaker A: Good for him, I guess.
[00:32:14] Speaker B: Yeah. My biggest performer for Thursday night this week. I gotta go with my guy. I got a chance to do it. It's Bo Nicks.
[00:32:21] Speaker A: Wow.
[00:32:22] Speaker B: Bo Nicks. All right, I've got Bo Nicks. It's time for Jamie got a 49 ers segment last week. It's time for your Broncos segment.
[00:32:31] Speaker A: We cannot. Let me just get comfortable. Let me see.
[00:32:33] Speaker B: Get comfortable. The Denver Broncos cannot under any circumstance loose this football game. We are going into New Orleans with Sean Payton as our head coach, into the Superdome where he coached for a decade. He is probably the greatest coach to ever stand on the sideline for the new Orleans Saints.
He's their icon. He's a legend.
Every Saints fan standing in that, sitting in that stadium grew up for the most part watching Sean Payton coach and it's a battered team.
[00:33:04] Speaker A: Do you think they'll boo him?
[00:33:06] Speaker B: I don't think they'll boo him.
[00:33:07] Speaker A: They better not boo.
[00:33:08] Speaker B: They might boo him just because he left them.
[00:33:10] Speaker A: That would be embarrassing retirement.
[00:33:11] Speaker B: But he brought them a Super. They didn't win a Super bowl.
[00:33:13] Speaker A: No, they didn't.
[00:33:14] Speaker B: No, they, they did. Drew Brees never won an MVP. That's what he never won. But yeah, Bo Nicks winning an MVP this game. 27 for 38 258, one passing touchdown. He's going to throw a pick. It's Bo pix. We know this. Eight attempts, 67 yards on the ground and two rushing downs. Three total touchdowns at 31.02 fantasy points.
[00:33:34] Speaker A: Wow.
[00:33:34] Speaker B: He's projected 17 in ESPN.
Pretty high for Bo Nicks. But yeah, I've got the Broncos 31 to 16.
[00:33:43] Speaker A: You kind of got me motivated over here.
[00:33:45] Speaker B: I think the Broncos, I think we go into the Superdome and Sean Payton shows them who's boss. He takes care of business. The Broncos win 30 116. Pat certain is on the sideline cheering because he doesn't have to guard. Chris Olave is on the sideline smiling because he doesn't have to face Pats or tan. So is Rashid Shahid by default.
[00:34:02] Speaker A: I don't think he likes to even.
[00:34:03] Speaker B: Play like pats are tan being out is really the only huge loss for the Broncos this week and I don't think it's going to matter with a la van Shahid out. Am I allowed to stack the box and the, the Saints aren't going to be able to run it because they aren't going to be able to throw it. And I think we get it done. 30 116. Blake group scores like 18 fantasy points on like four field goals.
[00:34:22] Speaker A: So I get a chance to switch my pick. I mean, you want to pick the.
[00:34:26] Speaker B: Denver Broncos, you're more than welcome to.
[00:34:27] Speaker A: And I still get credit if we, if they winden, I mean, you just.
[00:34:31] Speaker B: Got me, you get credit if you.
[00:34:32] Speaker A: Got me a little motivated here about Sean.
[00:34:34] Speaker B: I can get somebody to pick the Broncos to win a football game then, you know what?
[00:34:40] Speaker A: If you hear, if you heard that, that was my backspace key. I got the Broncos winning this game.
[00:34:46] Speaker B: Let's go. This is a huge game.
[00:34:49] Speaker A: If the Saints win and I go one and four, oh my God.
[00:34:52] Speaker B: Huge game for the Broncos. Could potentially go four and three. We got a tough two game stretch coming up after it with the Chiefs and somebody else who we're not going to be.
[00:35:00] Speaker A: So you guys play Baltimore pretty soon. I know you guys.
[00:35:03] Speaker B: I think that's who it is. So it's the Chiefs and someone who we're not going to be.
[00:35:06] Speaker A: Let me look. I feel like it might be later in the season, though.
[00:35:09] Speaker B: I don't think it's the Ravens.
[00:35:10] Speaker A: It's week nine. So it is in two weeks now.
[00:35:13] Speaker B: Yeah, we get, it's two easy games and then two hard games. It's the Saints. The Broncos get the Panthers next week. What a football game that's going to be.
[00:35:21] Speaker A: Hey, the game's in Denver.
[00:35:22] Speaker B: Then thankfully that's not on prime time.
And then it's Ravens, Chiefs and then Falcons. So that's three straight losses. So we, the Broncos need this one. This is a big one. We lost, they lost the Chargers last week.
[00:35:35] Speaker A: I got the Broncos.
[00:35:36] Speaker B: I got them winning.
[00:35:36] Speaker A: I got them.
[00:35:37] Speaker B: So now we can go into a one week, one week special. All right, for the trade deadline, you.
[00:35:44] Speaker A: Want to, you want to introduce the crowd to the roaring crowd to our new segment.
[00:35:50] Speaker B: Welcome to. It's going to replace panic or pause this week because actually one of the guys who I had on my panic or pause list was traded today. I believe they were both moved. Devontae Adams and Amari Cooper. This is your trade deadline segment. I guess. I don't know if the deadline's coming up, but it sure seems like it is.
[00:36:08] Speaker A: Throw up the graphics.
[00:36:10] Speaker B: Yeah. So a lot of big moves. Two main ones. We'll start with Devontae Adams moves from the Las Vegas Raiders. At last he is. Take a wild guess. Aaron Rodgers, wide receiver, one in New York. There are a number of people that this affects, namely Devontae Adams and Garrett Wilson.
But what do you think? Fantasy repercussions. We'll start with Devontae Adams himself, who's healthy now.
[00:36:34] Speaker A: So. Yeah, the hamstring injury, just, just, I love it. I love it.
[00:36:40] Speaker B: All of a sudden, fully healthy.
[00:36:43] Speaker A: It's interesting because that, you know, part of me on a realistic side is like, what's the point? The jets are already a mess. They're what, two and four? What are they gonna go seven and ten?
[00:36:56] Speaker B: Like I don't have a head coach.
[00:36:58] Speaker A: I don't think Devon D'Album is the answer to their success.
[00:37:01] Speaker B: Don't have a play caller. However, fantasy.
[00:37:05] Speaker A: Last night I made a trade for Devontae Adams in my league. Like, I was like, I want Devontae. Like I can just envision him in.
[00:37:12] Speaker B: A Jets uniform catching 15 passes a game while they lose by ten.
[00:37:16] Speaker A: Exactly. And I was like, I want that on my fantasy team. So I think obviously anything is better than what Devante Adams, the situation he was in Vegas. Anything is better. And this is pretty good. I mean, he's back with the quarterback he played with for what, a decade.
[00:37:33] Speaker B: Yeah. With a hall of fame chance to just stat padded probably.
[00:37:38] Speaker A: I mean, that's his guy. They both click. I mean, he was on the. Before it was even official, they were. Rogers went on the Pat McAfee show and Devontae Adams was already there. Like he wants to be a jet. They showed him today at practice. He's happy, he's smiling. He's running around like, I think good things are, good things are to come for Devontae Adams fantasy owners. And that's as soon as I saw the trade last night, I cooked up a trade. I got rid of Chris Olave, who just doesn't like to play football.
It was a great trade for me. The upside is there with Devontae. So I'm all for it. Do you want me to dive into Garrett Wilson or do you want to just talk about Devontae right now?
[00:38:15] Speaker B: I'll give a quick Devontae thing. You got it. So, yeah, I like it. I mean, he's the wide receiver one.
I don't know if he's more talented than Garrett Wilson at these points in their careers, but that doesn't matter with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, has won at Devontae Adams from the second that they got split up in Green Bay and he's got him back. Win or lose. He's getting ten, maybe 15 targets a game. I don't know if anyone listening to the show right now remembers the Devontae Adams stat lines that were cooked up in Green Bay, but win or lose, they were some of the most disgusting. Cooper 2021 2020 Cooper Cup 15 receptions, 160 yards, two touchdowns and I don't think he'll do that, but I think he's going to average over 20 a game in New York. I don't think there's any way he doesn't.
Well, unless he averages like 18, but he'll be great as long as he stays healthy, which he appears to be now. So Devontae Adams, if you own him, you just got, they just threw you a life raft. Get on it.
Because if you were playing him before this week, you're probably sitting at like two and four, one and five. So all the hope you can get Devontae Adams definitely increased in value going from Vegas to New York.
[00:39:28] Speaker A: I think the, the happiest fantasy owners this week are the guys, or ladies, if you're playing fancy football, that are sitting at like somehow sitting at three and three with Devontae Adams on your bench. And then you get that and you're like, I mean, and it healed him. It did heal him. The injury just completely healed him.
[00:39:48] Speaker B: Aaron Rodgers healed him.
[00:39:51] Speaker A: But I guess I'll jump into the Garrett Wilson aspect of this.
On the other side of Devontae Adams owners being really excited. Garrett Wilson owners are probably not so excited.
[00:40:03] Speaker B: I wouldn't be.
[00:40:04] Speaker A: Garrett Wilson has kind of had a year so far, but the last two weeks. Phenomenal. Phenomenal. Of course, I played him in both weeks in at least one of my leagues, and Garrett Wilson just put, put the nail in the coffin and I lost both times I played Garrett Wilson. I mean, he just, he's putting up Garrett. The numbers we expected Garrett Wilson to get if he was the true receiver in New York. Unfortunately, he's not that anymore.
Now. I still don't think Garrett Wilson's like, I don't think Garrett Wilson's gonna be horrible in fantasy. That's crazy. Garrett Wilson's a phenomenal receiver. He has great talent.
There's gonna be a lot of, a lot of attention over on Tay Adams. So Garrett Wilson is going to get his chance to get open.
[00:40:44] Speaker B: I worry about how much attention Alan Lazard has been getting, as is with Garrett Wilson there and Devante Adams not there. I worry that because it's not because Alan Lazard is even close to as good of a receiver as Gary Wilson, but simply because Aaron Rodgers prefers to throw the football to people who played for the packers in 2018 and Alan Lazar did, to my knowledge.
[00:41:08] Speaker A: Yeah. Like every other. I think I still have Alan Lazard. I actually just dropped him for pop.
[00:41:13] Speaker B: Douglas, although he's probably, I will say if you have Alan Lazard and fantasy, he's probably gonna be mostly, mostly useless most weeks.
[00:41:21] Speaker A: There he is. I mean, it's like every other week he drops like 20.
[00:41:25] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:41:25] Speaker A: Whoa. That is actually not true at all.
[00:41:27] Speaker B: He dropped an average in about 13.
[00:41:28] Speaker A: -27 week one and then he had week two, he had three and then 1410. 13 and a half and 24.
[00:41:36] Speaker B: He's been getting, like, legit looks.
[00:41:38] Speaker A: Yeah, he is.
[00:41:39] Speaker B: And I worry that he'll still get, he'll get more than Garrett Wilson or get as many, which won't be enough to go around with how many Devontae Adams is going to get. Tyler Conklin, if you were holding on to him, you can drop him. It's not going to. This isn't. He's going to be the fourth option now. But there's also Breece hall.
[00:42:01] Speaker A: Yeah, I don't, I've been thinking about the effect that it's going to have on Breeze hall, but I'm not too worried. I mean, I'm really not worried at all. He's not a pass catcher in that offense, I mean, he could be. He'll obviously get receptions, but I mean, honestly, I just think with having Devontae Adams, it could open up the play action even more. With. With Rogers on our center. He's a. He's a great play action guy. They're gonna have to. And to set up that, you're gonna have to be able to run the ball well. So I think.
I think Bruce hall is still gonna get his volume. I think he's gonna get his numbers. And obviously, if they're down in the red zone, like, inside the five, breeze hall is going to get the ball. Unless it's Braylon Allen, who has also been.
[00:42:38] Speaker B: Yeah, I was just. I was. I needed a breeze hall touchdown the other night. I ended up winning the game regardless, but I was furious. Braylon Allen ran that in with like six yards out, and then I was like, oh, holding. Anyway, it's coming back. We're all good.
There were so many penalties in that game.
[00:42:52] Speaker A: It's bad. The NFL refs are bad, penalties are bad. But we don't have to talk.
[00:42:57] Speaker B: All right? And their defense in that game, those were, like, all penalties. It was just a bad football game. True, but, yeah. Garrett Wilson. I'll keep it quick. Wide receiver, two, three. Rest this season. Now. You're not looking at wide receiver one upside anymore, but, yeah. So not worth what you drafted him for anymore. But there's nothing you knew about that. He'll still be solid. I just wouldn't. I'd keep your hopes lower than you had him. Breeze hall. I don't think this affects him at all. They might score more points. That might help him, might get some more touchdowns, but that's about it. We can move on to number two, which is Amari Cooper, Alabama guy on his fourth team now, raiders to the Cowboys to Cleveland, where he spent three years or so in purgatory, and now he moves to Buffalo, which is not purgatory for wide receivers. He is immediately the wide receiver one in Buffalo by a large margin, the only competition being Khalil Shakir and Kian Coleman. How do you feel about Amari Cooper?
[00:43:58] Speaker A: I mean, I hate it seeing Buffalo get that wide receiver one, but, oh, my lord, Amari Cooper.
[00:44:05] Speaker B: Like, it doesn't get any better for fantasy value than what just happened for Amar Cooper. Yeah.
[00:44:09] Speaker A: Like, oh, my gosh. It's actually kind of crazy. Like, Amari Cooper. Obviously, he's, like, older, but we saw exactly what happened. I'm not comparing Josh or Joe Flaco to Josh Allen. Actually, I could if I wanted to.
[00:44:25] Speaker B: But, hey, Joe Flacco was solid again this year, 40 years.
[00:44:30] Speaker A: But we see, we saw as soon as Mark Cooper isn't bad because he's getting old, he's bad because he had Sean Watson throwing on the football, because as soon as he got on the lineup and Flacco came back and started slinging it, Mark Cooper was dropping near 25.
[00:44:43] Speaker B: He was wide receiver one for the last five weeks of the season. He won fantasy leagues with Joe Flacco at quarterback.
[00:44:50] Speaker A: And that that QB over in Buffalo likes to sling the rock. And now he has a true wide receiver.
[00:44:57] Speaker B: One can't sit back against Buffalo because Josh Allen or James Cook will run that football all game. If you sit back.
[00:45:03] Speaker A: And Amari Cooper, obviously, he has a lot of perks and a lot of pros to his game at receiver. But after watching Mark Cooper play football for numerous years, definitely route running and getting open is his specialty, in my opinion, watching him play. And if you get open and you got Josh Allen back there, he's probably going to hit you right in the chest every single time.
[00:45:27] Speaker B: Yeah. Amari Cooper, wide receiver.
High end wide receiver to low end wide receiver. One for me the rest of the season.
Yeah. At this current, I would agree 100%.
[00:45:40] Speaker A: And he would. I mean, right now he was sitting at flex options and maybe not even in your start.
[00:45:46] Speaker B: I was lynching him.
[00:45:47] Speaker A: Right. In dynasty, he was getting about three points a week. And then that one week he had like 25. 25. But he had like. It was because he had like two touchdowns. Not a lot of receptions. But I mean, and the other bright side about if you have like, Allen and James Cook is like, they're not. And even knocks like, they're not gonna. The trade for Mari Cooper is not gonna harm them in any way. Everybody in Buffalo is just getting better except Keon Coleman.
[00:46:18] Speaker B: Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir. And the guy I want to discuss next is Dalton Kincaid, who a lot of people spend a relatively high quality.
[00:46:27] Speaker A: Knox.
[00:46:28] Speaker B: You said Dalson Knox.
[00:46:29] Speaker A: That's not what I meant to say. I meant to say Dalton Kincaid.
[00:46:31] Speaker B: Dalton Kincaid I am worried about. He wasn't getting a lot of looks to begin with. He's still not getting a ton of looks. And now you take. He's no longer the most talented player in that offense. He was beforehand. He was probably a more talented tight end than Keon Coleman or Khalil Shakira are. As receivers.
I don't know if the volume is going to be there. I worry about it. It wasn't there as much without a Mario Cooper there now with him there, I think it goes down even more. So if you're holding on to Khalil Shakira, Keyon Coleman or Dalton Kincaid, I'm a little worried. But if you have Amari Cooper throw a party pop.
[00:47:09] Speaker A: Now and just pray an injury doesn't happen because he is.
[00:47:12] Speaker B: In a fantastic spot. But yeah, that's about it. For the two trade deals, that was pretty much all that happened. It was worth fantasy discussion, but yeah. So up, arrows on Devontae and Amari Cooper. Down arrows on Garrett Wilson, Khalil Shakir, Keyon Coleman and Dalton Kincaid. If you have a running back there, they both actually go up, in my opinion, because his offenses are going to score more points, so more opportunities for touchdowns.
Two good moves. It's good to see those guys get out.
[00:47:43] Speaker A: Yeah, they wait. They were suffering. Suffering. Especially Mark Cooper. I mean, I hate that he went to Buffalo, but, like, long overdue for.
[00:47:51] Speaker B: Them to get a new, new situation. So good for those two, good for Aaron Rogers. That he did it again.
[00:47:58] Speaker A: He did it.
[00:47:58] Speaker B: This guy did it again. He's a GM.
[00:48:01] Speaker A: Yeah, at this point he is. I don't. They should.
[00:48:05] Speaker B: They should just hire, even.
[00:48:06] Speaker A: Listen, he's the GM. He is the GM and the coach at this point. Yeah, they don't need a play car. He should just play. Call it every single play for the.
[00:48:14] Speaker B: He's a better play caller than Nate Hackett, so.
[00:48:16] Speaker A: Oh, for sure.
[00:48:17] Speaker B: Yeah. So we got. It's one more segment. Yeah, I guess we'll sit.
[00:48:21] Speaker A: We got only. We got five minutes left, so I guess we'll rip through our must starts. Must sets for week seven. I'll start off with must starts, of course. And first guy is. Has turned in, at least to me, a must start every single week. And that's Terry McLaurin, wide receiver, one in Washington.
You know, the Ravens secondary played much better than I expected them to, but McLaren still found the end zone twice.
The second touchdown was on a fourth down conversion. Diving, catching the corner end zone. I mean, that's just, it was phenomenal defense, but just even better catch by McLaurin. And the first touchdown, just a little miscommunication on the Ravens side of the ball. But regardless, Terry McLaurin's a must start every single week, especially this week, because he's going against the Carolina Panthers.
[00:49:09] Speaker B: Jaden Daniels has projected 25 fantasy points.
[00:49:13] Speaker A: That's pretty phenomenal.
[00:49:14] Speaker B: That is unreal. But, yeah, I agree with that. I gotta go. My first guy I talked about a little bit earlier when I was discussing the. I mean, we'll just use the word failures in week six of Zach Moss, Chase Brown. Zach Moss was benched in the third quarter. As I mentioned, he's been dealing with minor injury. Chase Brown has as well. But he played last week and he played well. And this week they get Cleveland, who now Amari Cooper less. I don't know if they're going to score any points. I can't lie. Jerome Ford's out. Amari Cooper's gone. It's Deshaun Watson and Jerry Judy. That's.
[00:49:48] Speaker A: Heck yeah, dude.
[00:49:49] Speaker B: That's bad.
[00:49:50] Speaker A: Hey, don't forget about David Njoku.
[00:49:53] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, my bad. Forgot about David Njoku. But yeah, Chase Brown this week got expect the Bengals to be up big and be up big early.
[00:50:01] Speaker A: Historically, they Joe Barrels horrible against the Browns.
But yeah, that game better not be a closed game.
[00:50:09] Speaker B: The Bengals should be up by a lot and that would give Chase Brown a lot of opportunity. I think he gets a touchdown or two. So if you got Chase Brown, fire away this week, put him in your lineup.
[00:50:18] Speaker A: I'll jump into my second must start another AFC running back. And that's Tank Bigsby this week.
[00:50:24] Speaker B: He was my second month start.
[00:50:26] Speaker A: Darn. You could have him against the Patriots. He had a very. I mean, there was all this hype. We were hyping him up last week and then I started him this week and he got about three points.
[00:50:35] Speaker B: The earnest Johnson.
[00:50:37] Speaker A: What? It does not look like Etienne is going to play this week. So Bigsby is the RB one and hopefully Johnson, as Lincoln just said, doesn't take over again.
I think Tank Bigsby's got to be in your lineups this week. Unfortunately, I can't start him over Chimera and Kyron Williams.
[00:50:53] Speaker B: Definitely not.
[00:50:54] Speaker A: And I don't think I'm going to in the flex going to start him over McLaurin or Wandale Robinson.
[00:51:01] Speaker B: I would start him over Wandale because Malik's neighbors is coming back, I'm guessing.
[00:51:06] Speaker A: I guess I'll throw Bigsby in there and hope he doesn't drop another dud.
[00:51:10] Speaker B: Yeah, hopefully he doesn't drop another dud against the Patriots. I've got it's a third running back. Let's talk about Kareem Huntley.
[00:51:15] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, dude. In Kansas City projected like 15, which is crazy.
[00:51:19] Speaker B: Yeah, he's back 13.914 points projected for Kareem Hunt. He scored 18.7 in week five before they're by 102 yards on 27 carries. Nothing too crazy per carry. But he had a touchdown and that's what we care about. The Chiefs offense going to score points. They don't have a lot of guys to punch it in with. So Kareem Hunt, if he gets a touchdown, you get your value back. I'd put him in your lineup. I think he will get one this week against San Francisco.
[00:51:44] Speaker A: All right, I guess I'll start us off with our must sits. The first guy is the running back we talked about a little bit earlier. We don't know what's going on in the Tampa Bay backfield, but a must sit for me is Rashad White, if he plays this week, which it looks like he is on track to play against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night. As Lincoln said, the Baltimore run defense is pretty phenomenal and who knows who's going to get the most carries in Tampa Bay or if they'll run the ball even at all against Baltimore. We'll see what goes down on Tampa that night, but definitely do not start Rashad White.
[00:52:18] Speaker B: Yeah, I'll get into. Actually, he just missed practice, so I'll avoid Michael Pittman, but I'll start with Brandon Iook, who's going to be matched up one on one on the outside with Trent McDuffie this week, who's been fantastic, fantastic this year. That Chiefs defense is once again great. Steve Spagnola is, I mean, a genius is the word I'd use. Some of the stuff that Kansas City's defense does I couldn't think of if you put me in a room with Albert Einstein.
But Brandon Ayuk has only had one game over ten points this season. It was two weeks ago against Arizona. Kansas City's defense is not Arizona, and I don't think the opportunities are there and I don't think that the production's there. If you got Brandon Ayuk, unfortunately, it's a dead end right now until further notice.
[00:53:03] Speaker A: And I'd sit him, I guess I'll go real quick here. My second must sit is a guy we just talked about because of the Devante Adams trade, and that's Alan Lazard against Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh secondary and defense in general has been pretty, pretty stout this year, even though Adams just got there. I think he's going to get a lot of targets. And even though Rogers loves those Green Bay guys, hope Garrett Wilson gets more targets than Alan Lazard.
[00:53:29] Speaker B: Yeah, I'll get in real quick. Just a quick notice. Najee Harris, 20 points this week. Don't start him this week against the jets. He's not doing it again. Don't fall for it. The jets run defense far too good. He's also on the injury report with a rib injury. I'm going to guess he'll end up playing. He normally sits out at the beginning of the week, but. Yeah. Najee Harris, don't drink that kool aid. It's not good.
[00:53:50] Speaker A: Don't drink.
[00:53:50] Speaker B: It's not good. I've drank that kool, Aidan, and you don't want to, so he's on my most suit list this week, as much as I love Najee.
[00:53:59] Speaker A: Alrighty. I guess that's it.
[00:54:00] Speaker B: That's it.
[00:54:01] Speaker A: All right, well, thank you for tuning in to WVUA 90.7 FM, Tuscaloosa student section, fantasy sports. We'll see you all next Wednesday.
[00:54:10] Speaker B: Peace.
